“It’s just hard for me. I’m completely dependent on you now. I knew this would be the case, but it still wounds my pride a bit.” I finally met his eyes and saw frustration, exasperation, and worry.
I bit my lip out of habit, my eyes pleading with him to understand. His eyes watched the reaction and softened. “Bella. I gave you my love and you took it so willingly. Don’t you already have what is most valuable?” He toyed with his wedding ring absently, a nervous gesture I so rarely saw.
I let my head fall to the table. I had never thought about it that way. I felt like the biggest jerk in the whole world. I knew he wasn’t trying to make me feel guilty, he genuinely didn’t understand why I couldn’t see it that way.

“I had a vision," she stated the obvious. “Bella, you won’t have a thirst for humans.”
“Or even animals,” Jasper added.
“Yes, we’re just now figuring this out,” Edward said quietly.
Alice watched us for a long moment before Carlisle spoke. “Alice, tell them.”
My eyes darted from Alice to Jasper to Carlisle. There was more?
Alice looked at Jasper then back to me. “You help Jasper. It’s easier for him with you here.” Her eyes and her voice were indescribably tender as she looked at me.
“I know this, Alice, but I don’t know what that means.” I rubbed my face as I sighed, trying to keep the frustration out of my voice.
“That’s what I’m saying, Bella. I do know what it means. It means he doesn’t struggle to resist humans with you near him.” Her voice was quiet. “Bella, I don’t see everything, but… I see more of what it is you can do.”
Edward held me tighter to him. Alice looked at Carlisle, who nodded to her in encouragement. I could tell she didn’t want to tell me, but Carlisle had wanted her to come here.
“You can sense needs, yes, and it’s clearly more than that. That is only the simple part of your gift. Your power is also… giving something they need, not just sensing it.” She shook her head, unable to find the words. “It’s complicated.”
I looked up at Edward to find him watching Carlisle. He seemed unable to get a read on Carlisle. Carlisle wasn’t looking at him. He was watching Alice.
“I guess that makes sense,” Edward said rationally. “I mean, as we discussed yesterday, if I needed silence, Bella is unreadable to me. If I needed her to be safe from Jane, she protected herself. And if Jasper needs to be able to resist human blood, she can give that to him...”

"I love dirty talking Edward. So much. They need to act on some of these now. I was wondering when her dream was going to come back up, just like a man it didn't take long. I'm curious to see where that one goes.
I loved this in particular: "It’s so different than what anyone else sees in you. It’s buried in there and I’m the only one that knows it. Every woman who sees you wants you. But I’m the only one who knows what lies beneath. It is all mine."
I hope it stays that way, because it brings a new level of intimacy and trust to that relationship. I also like the way Bella expresses her need to be more in control outside of the sex and be a part of the decisions. This isn't just smut, it's a relationship, and I appreciate the plot as much as the smut. There's a nice balance here, and one I've never found in my own writings.
I am very intrigued with the idea that Bella doesn't have a "normal" thirst, and that she calms Jasper's thirst. I'm also very intrigued to see what happens with Aro. I can only hope that the "challenge" for Aro has a positive outcome and not a negative one. Perhaps Bella can provide everyone with a new outlook for what a vampire can be."
